With the help of the GZDoom engine, we see insane creations being born from ashes, while the triple A developers are just stealing ideas from each other, and releasing the same ideas every year. As linguica says on the Cacoward pagethe Doom modding community is still one of the most active group out there. There were some whispers that maybe the Doom community's collective output would take a breather in - but, if anything, the opposite has occurred, and we have a bumper crop of Cacoward picks this year once again. The sugar rush of Doom's 25th anniversary has worn off, and we've arrived at the much more pedestrian 26th anniversary.
